Drums Course Overview

This course is designed for those who are interested in rhythm and learning drums, which is an inevitable instrument in any orchestra. Drums are the foundational rhythmic instruments in music, consisting of stretched membranes (drumheads) that vibrate when struck. As one of the oldest instrument families, they provide the groove, tempo, and dynamic pulse essential for keeping bands unified across virtually all musical genres.

Course Objectives

- Understand the basics of RHYTHM and its significance in music production.
- Familiarize yourself with the vaious rhythm patters and playing drums.
- Develop skills in drums playing.
- Learn to use drums in an orchestra.
- Explore the acoustic features of drums and setting up the instrument for concerts.

Course Outline

1. Introduction to Rythms & drums/

- Different rhythma pattaerns used in music.
- Role of drums in playing different rhythms
- Different parts of drums and their significance.

2. Grade Exam preparations

- Guiding students for appearing for the Trinity Grade Exams.
- Teaching Exam lessons and giving higher level practice
- Trainig students for Trinity or any equivalent exams.
